If you seek a simple proof.

Let it be The Light!

Welcome to Vlad’s Blog!

This is a space for exploring the deeper questions behind design, human behaviour, consciousness, and existence.

I write from more than twenty years of experience in design and human-centred research, combined with a personal inquiry into philosophy, spirituality, and the nature of the Self.

This journey led to my book, The Why, How, and What of Existence, published in Los Angeles by New Falcon Publications, and to a spiritual pilgrimage through India, including the sacred Himalayan temples of Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Here, I explore design, ancient wisdom, Advaita Vedanta, Shaivism, the symbolism of the Wheel, and the question beneath every identity:

Who am I?

Welcome to the journey.

  • ? Beware the Trap of “Premature Closure“ ? How often do we feel the rush to jump to a specific solution? It’s an easy trap to fall into, especially under the pressure of deadlines and the fear of looking like we don’t have the answers. Our society has historically rewarded us for knowing the answers…

  • Last week I visited some of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites—the temple of Lord Shiva in Kedarnath and the temple of Lord Vishnu in Badrinath. Both are hard-to-access places in the Indian Himalayas. Through the symbolism of these two ultimate deities, one understands both critical concepts of our existence — emptiness, and oneness. Emptiness…

  • Between 2017 and 2022, we’ve been on a transformative journey—one that began with a business challenge and evolved into a symbol of innovation and purpose at the heart of drug development. The Challenge: A Fragmented System At the outset, clinical trial operations were highly reactive. Directors managed their studies using Excel spreadsheets, constantly navigating a…

  • Since high school, I’ve been fascinated by something we used to call “The Spirit.” This concept was introduced to my home country, the Czech Republic, in the 1990s by a British electronic music band—The Spiral Tribe. Banned in the UK for a “serious breach of the peace,” they were chased out of the country for…

  • Sometimes I keep myself busy thinking about what are the most influential experiences which have advanced my designer’s career in a deeper sense. Among other things, I always think about these books, lessons and lectures which have profoundly changed my viewpoint on design, user experience, design thinking, or life, if you will. Not only these…
